RMSL team coaches must complete the following prior to the start of the season (applies to head & assistant coaches; junior coaches are exempt):

USA Swimming Coaches Training (Recommended not required) 90-minute online training for RMSL coaches. 

• USA Swimming Members: Access the Summer League Coaching course directly through this link: Summer League Coaching. 

• Non-USA Swimming Members: Access the Summer League landing page here: https://learn.usaswimming.org/browse/rmsl. 

CPR/First Aid or American Red Cross Lifeguarding (Required in person testing)

• American Redcross - Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED or CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers (CPRO) 

• American Heart - Basic Life Support

SafeSport training (Required)

• 90-minute required online training for all paid coaches, and 1 team parent rep. Coaches under age 18 must take the course with a parent. 
• USA Swimming Members: USA Swimming Members may take Safe Sport at no cost through the USA Swimming catalog portal: https://university.usaswimming.org/landing. Click on "Athlete Protection Training". 
• Non-USA Swimming Members: All others must take the "SafeSport Trained Core" through the US Center for Safe Sport. Go to https://university.usaswimming.org/landing. Click on "Login" and "Sign Up". Enter your information and use "N/A" for the organization ID. Once logged in, click "Catalog." Click on the "SafeSport Trained Core" course. 

Concussion training (per state law)

Code of Conduct to be read, signed and reviewed with a team parent rep, recognizing the importance of maintaining the spirit of the league as a representative of the league.

Any other training required by your pool management company or HOA/Metro District/ Parks District  to work at the pool (please contact them directly).

Completion certificates for the above should be kept on file by all teams.
