RMSL & COVID-19 Survey and Updates
Good Evening RMSL,
Survey
As we continue to watch the unprecedented circumstances unfold, we want to ensure we gather input from the league about how to best respond. We would very much appreciate if you would fill out this short survey about potential season impacts for RMSL. We are eager to solicit input from each team. Please complete this survey by Monday, March 23rd. We'd love to widen the net of input, so please feel free to share the link with parents within your team.
Updates
Per CDC guidelines, no gatherings of 10 or more people for 7 more weeks (around May 15th). As a league, we will not hold in-person trainings until after May 15th.
- Starter Ref Training We are going to schedule a Starter Ref training for all Starter Refs to ensure they understand the new system (Swimmingly) for after this date. We will equip the Starter Refs to train their Stroke Judges to use Swimmingly.
- Stroke Judge Training We will offer a new Stroke Judge training in-person after May 15th. Returning stroke judges will be able to complete an online training (similar to last year). They will be asked to view a Swimmingly training video as well.
- New Parent Rep Training Our next RMSL meeting was supposed to be dedicated to training first year parent reps. In light of the COVID-19 situation, we will use this league meeting to address COVID-19 concerns and impacts to the league. We will add an additional (online) meeting to gather first year parent reps within the next few weeks.
- Our April & May RMSL Meetings will both be held online via a web meeting room. Details will be sent prior to each meeting.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out! [email protected]
Sincerely,
RMSL Board
