Parent Reps, Meet Managers and Head Coaches,

I've started to get questions about prelims and finals, so here is a few preliminary things. I will be sending out a detailed email in the next few days with all the prelims and finals info, but here are the things to know right now. 

1.  You can open the prelims entries at any time now (but don’t open the finals entries; those will be seeded by the coaches with the Advancers file that I will send out each day after each prelims ends).  Leave the finals meet's Athlete Signup under Signup Status as either pending or closed.

2.  Because of the 2 meet minimum now being required at the league level, I’m going to allow entries until 6pm on 7/8, with the understanding that most entries will be done earlier that week. I realize that there will be a small number of swimmers that won’t be eligible to sign up until they finish the meet that day. Please encourage your eligible swimmers to get signed up for prelims well before that cut off time so that the coaches know who is swimming and can get their relays done. 

3.  The final due date and time for any prelims entries and changes will be on Saturday, July 8th at 6pm (NO EXCEPTIONS!). After that point, only scratches will be allowed. I would recommend closing the entries to parents several days before that cut off time (maybe around July 4th).  

4.  For the swimmers not eligible to sign up until they swim the meet on July 8th, I would have either the coach, parent rep or meet manager quickly go in after the dual meet is finished and exported from Meet Maestro to Swimtopia and do their entries.  This will also be the coach's chance to add those swimmers to a relay.
