RMSL runs CARDLESS meets. We use no heating cards (pink/blue) for individual events, but we will have CARDS for RELAYS! How this will work…

At the meet, your team will still be responsible for getting swimmers to the heating area.

The heating area will be run in the same way it was run with cards. The difference will be that there will be NO cards, except for relays. You still have to check in, you still have to line up. The home team will be running heating but there will be volunteers from both teams working in heating. In heating, the volunteers will get kids into the right event, heat and lane as indicated on the heat sheets.

In addition to the environmental impact of not using cards, we anticipate a significant number of volunteer hours to be saved as a result of this effort. The work needed to organize the cards and the work of the runners just became almost no time. In fact, we suggest that the home team would provide 1 runner and the visiting team none. This is a reduction of 3 people just for running.

Cardless meets model both high school and club team meets and many other summer leagues. Swimmers who may potentially swim in high school or on a club team will find this helpful for this future endeavor or familiar if they are already swimming on a club team or in high school.
